The people of understanding found that the checker pattern held some deep secrets regarding the nature of reality centuries ago.

The checker, after all, possesses mystical attributes that inspire mental transformation through contemplation and deeper understanding of already known truths.

In other words, it has the ability to turn the subtle and hazy into the ineffable.

The promise of deeper understanding often leads one to places of natural geometry and organic dimensions of symbolic color mazes.

These alluring mazes of colorful delusion often guide one to inner sanctums of psychological dread, and an unlearned seeker may very easily stumble upon the barren desert of red sandstone pillars.

A frightening scene of surreal terror is sure to rob him of his mental comfort and safety, for an ominous field of black portals and endless sepia fields are built not for the uninitiated.
